A'ktram

Demigod of Duty, Dignity, and Guardianship

(a.k.a. The Restorer)

A'ktram is the demigod of Duty, Dignity, and Tactical Warfare. An Incarnate of Suryamon that awoke his Divine Spark, he is most oft worshiped in his mortal homeland of Uthmar and is tied to its history. He is at the same time a merciful sage and a ruthless warrior, a possessed idealist and a realistic scholar. A'ktram is most often depicted as an elderly human male in poor clerical robes with a firm outlook, wise and intelligent eyes, and a long white beard. In depictions of him as a righteous warrior, he is depicted as a youthful and dashing warrior with a well-trimmed black beard, riding a perfect white stallion wielding a shining saber.
Clerics of A'ktram tend toward being lawful good or neutral good and culturally tend to be Marzad. They often hold office as ministers, judges, scholars, and teachers in civil government, while also serving as healers, advisers and guardians for the military. Many will take up adventuring as a method to evangelize their faith and the glorious deeds of A'ktram and his ascension to the divine. Prayers are often made at dawn and at dusk.

A'ktam preaches the sanctity of life and the protection of nature (in particular, water.) He advocates for non-violence, but teaches that one should always be prepared to defend one's home, family, and dignity.
