The Xepesme War (3170 AK - Present)

The Xepesme War began in 3170 AK after the death of Aplistas the Scarred, an ancient green Dragon who lived in a enormous cavern in the forested mountains in the east. Her lair was situated close to a known entrance to the Underdark and to several Elf and Satyr settlements, and this allowed her influence to extend above and below the ground. When Aplistas succumbed to old age, a mad rush for control of her hoard and her domain began. Major factions include her former Dragonborn servants, the Duergar whose tribute supplied much of her horde, and the local Elves and Satyrs she subjugated. The latter two groups are supported by Sakilos and Siligond, whose large armies have destroyed much of the countryside.
