Sapphire Palace
PROMPT Describe a location with no valuable resources, but everybody wants to live here. What is so special about this place?
The resplendant "capitol" of the Cobalt Coalition, carved into the face of a singular mountain in the middle of The High Desert.
Most of the Adult blue dragons in the coalition live elsewhere on their own, but Coalition councils meet here for unified diplomacy. Thus, a select few delegates from other nations are allowed to live permanently in the resplendent mountain palace, mostly as diplomats. They are cared for by enslaved Dwarves, who also maintain and expand the palace, while the half-dragon slave-drivers guard the palace. It is one of the most luxurious positions in Vorago, but only people with something to offer the Coalition are permitted to even enter.
The Eldest blue dragon of the Coalition, Valnissax the Elder makes his lair here, as the chief diplomat of the Coalition. She also boasts the priviledge of guarding the Great Hoard, the collection of taxed riches from the Coalition members used for state business, separate from her own private hoard.
All blue dragon wyrmlings are mandated to grow up here as well, for their effective socialization. They live in the Grand Hatchery, run by The Dragonmother.
