Vorad refers to the subcontinent west of the Orsjall and Avathroa, and south of the Kusakrad mountains, with the vast. A relatively isolated pocket of fertile lands and seas, Vorad is a place from which many powerful states have risen and fallen over the years. It is commonly divided into three regions Druzophia, Voldia and the Salacian Sea, each of which have constantly played host to their own independent, and often interacting nations and civilizations over the years. Druzophia, the "land of dragons" is the northern land of the subcontinent, the biggest and most fertile stretch of land, it is surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges, with the Salacian Sea to the south. Filled with forests and grasslands, abundant in raw mineral deposits and criss-crossed with rivers it is a land of abundance and security, and has often given rise to many powerful civilizations over the millennia. However its abundance has also made it highly desirable, and Druzophia has seen many a foreign invader over the course of history, many of whom still live in these lands to this day, creating a complex tapestry of peoples and ideas. Voldia, simply "south Vorad" is all the lands south of Druzophia but above the Avoran highlands further below. A relatively isolated peninsula, Vorad has long played second fiddle to events happening on Druzophia. A harsher land of swamps and deserts, unlike Druzophia civilization does not come naturally to Voldia. However it's harshness has given rise innovators and entrepreneurs, and it was from Voldia, not Druzophia, that the greatest nation in the history of Vorad would emerge. Finally there is the Salacian Sea, protected from the harsh winds and tides of the great ocean by long island and reef chains, the Salacian Sea is a place of (relatively) calm waters that has served to connect Druzophia and Voldia far beyond the eastern land bridge. The Salacian Sea has been host to many island, and later aquatic civilizations in its history, traders, pirates and everything in-between has lived both above and below these waters.
