Gordian's Knot

Mages Casting this spell by touching a single tied Knot, in rope, thread, string, twine, ribbon or other material that can be tied into a knot and make it physically impossible to untie except by the Caster of the spell. The knot can still be cut or burned away. A Caster untying a knot he placed under this spell dispels the magic of the Gordian Knot. This spell cast at higher levels make it that equivalent level for attempts to dispel it by others. A caster can enchant a number of knots in this way equivalent to his level.

Effect

It Transforms the Touched Knot into one that is impossible to untie except by the caster of the spell.

Side/Secondary Effects

A botched attempt at this spell usually damages the rope or material used.

Manifestation

The Touched Knot Glows a Brilliant color then cools to look like a normal knot.

Discovery

It is attributed in ancient Texts to a Wizard known as Gordian the Red.

The Caster Sprinkles the Chalk over the knot as it is tied and pulled taught and the words "Tuskaroara" is said and the caster touches the knot.
