Originally believed to have been created long ago by a wizard much like the Owlbear, the Hippopotamoose is a monstrous cross between a hippopotamus and a moose. They now however breed freely in the wild.
Normally found where jungles and forrests blend together. Hippopotamoose live along the muddy banks of slow-moving rivers. They are short-legged and broad bodied, with antlers that closer resemble plows than tree branches. Their large bodies are extremely buoyant, and they spend most of their time either swimming or submerged while feeding upon aquatic plants. Between the aggressive behavior of a Hippo and the lack of fear from a moose the Hippopotamoose is a monstrosity very few natural beasts have the power to take down, and even humanoids tend to have trouble with them.
