< My gift to you. >   The first Osa had spoken to him all evening. A flat delivered thought that had been carefully stripped of any clues as to the state of mind his Bya was in – which was telling in and of itself. Osa was in a mood, which likely meant he’d been at the party and had witnessed the absolute embarrassment the Elector had made of himself when he’d tried to make an appeal to Rodeuskiss. The desperation made for good leverage, though, so he’d agreed to meet with the man for dinner in a couple of days. When Rodeuskiss’ schedule cleared. So whenever he felt like it.   Before he could question what Osa might mean by that cryptic remark, Rodeuskiss’ bodyguards called for someone to halt. He turned to find a small, plain looking girl looking rather haggard from her apparent jog from the side of the building.   “Shpacchad Kalerilosa! I am Kimuimo Thlach.” She said it with wavering confidence. With all the self-righteousness that family was known for.   He could leave her blind, deaf, and mentally blank on the dirty cement of the parking garage. Reflexively, he could tell there was absolutely no mental resistance or guard to what he might do to her. Granted, there wasn’t many that could. It was a familiar feeling. Only the previous remark from Osa kept him from doing just that and, instead, lifting a hand to prevent his bodyguards from doing anything.   Squaring off with the small girl, he buttoned the first button on his jacket. “Ms Thlach.” Acknowledging her family name since that was the only thing of note about her. If he sounded bored in doing so, that’s because he was.   She was apparently emboldened by his lack of action and took a couple of steps closer. Drawing up courage, most like. “You’ve owed my family a meeting for over a year now, holding up the budget for South Town.”   Of course. What else would someone from Thlach want to corner him in a dark parking garage about? Leave it to the idealistic family to think nothing of leaving themselves vulnerable in such a way – alone, with the head of a criminal family. Especially over something so meaningless. Before she could open her mouth and say more, drawing out this encounter more than he cared to, Rodeuskiss simply glanced to his secretary who had been in the SUV when it had pulled up. “Add Ms. Thlach to my schedule.” To the girl, he said, “I’ll be in touch.” He didn’t need anything more from her and didn’t care to extend the conversation. Figuring that was good enough and certainly more than she deserved, he turned to go.   Just to ensure the conversation was over, Rodeuskiss killed any compulsion she had to continue speaking. Nipping the urge before it could result in action. A flagrant abuse of his Shra, but Rodeuskiss did so all the time.   < Happy? > This, to Osa. Who had likely been somewhere nearby to witness the entire encounter.   < See you at home. > It was a base response but this one was colored with satisfaction. Osa had been unhappy with whatever he’d seen at the party but this little stunt had, at least for the moment, mollified him for whatever reason. Rodeuskiss couldn’t begin to comprehend the jealous impulses of his Bya, especially since Osa had never had a reason to be so. Rodeuskiss hadn’t any interest in the Elector.
Continuation of Making Friends. Just another small scene where Kimui gets her meeting and it isn't nearly as climactic as she was expecting - set up all thanks to Amier. This from Rodeus' perspective cause the girlie just had no idea who she was dealing with and it was a little more fun for me to write - even if it made the scene shorter.
