Fried Meat Dumpling
Overview
Imiwon are meat dumplings found primarily on the western continent, in the open grasslands of the Gelemnian Empire and the Kingdom of Knaia. It’s a dish popularized by the herders and rangers of the region, whose staple is meat, bread, and milk. The thin dough is folded around a filling of minced or ground lamb / mutton, onion, salt, and sometimes garlic then fried. Once served, it can be accompanied by a dark soy sauce.
Related Organizations
Zhu'KlashaWhile the Klasha noble family isn’t the originator of the dish, the family owns and operates in the region it has become popular in and thus the name has become attached to the dish – at least where it concerns any documentation or publicized references. Needless to say, this is a staple meal of farmers, herders, and ranchers in the area and not something that is generally seen on city-vnou tables or parties.
Preparation
The dough is rolled into circles before the meat in placed inside, then the edges are crimped or pinched closed. After making the pockets, the dumplings are fried in oil until they turn golden brown. Imiwon served hot and mostly eaten by hand. At its most basic, Imiwon is served by itself. Upscale or fancier plates or servings might include a dark soy sauce for dipping, but that isn’t the norm.History
Given the remote location of many farmers and ranchers in the Knaia and Gelemnia region, the simple meal became staple because of the ease of ingredients on hand. Most meals comprise some form of Imiwon dumpling base, sometimes accompanied by any root vegetables or anything ready in a personal garden to be fried alongside. Most city vnou in the Gelemnian Empire and Knaia Kingdom are aware of Imiwon, but it is considered a country dish. Even if it is associated with a noble bloodline.
You're hinting at all these other families that I wanna knooow about. Gimme more Zhu'Klasha! Also these sound delicious.
