Personal History

Orasamier is one of three children born to the second eldest in the Shpou line, Tasanakoe. Thus, he is the first child to lose the Shpou designator and take on Dya – being adjacent to the main Drahinuaw bloodline.

He had always been an bratty, stubborn child that tested the limits of his parents patience. This earned him a very early apprenticeship under a Nuus, an assassin for the family, at the tender age of 8. While Orasamier certainly exhibited some of the traits required to become a Nuus, his obnoxious behavior steered him more in the direction of the Shni – the rogue. The physical training under his Nuus teacher proved beneficial when he finally, officially, took an apprenticeship under a Shni when he turned 15.

It was this real introduction to the darker life that he would be living that Orasamier met Rodeuskiss. The then twenty year old vnou didn’t pay much attention to the restless young apprentice. He was busy attending to his own ambitions in the Shpachhad. It would be several years of working in adjacent spaces, occasionally running into one another – sometimes by Orasamier’s design – that Orasamier would make a move on the older vnou.

Their fated meeting took place during a winter holiday party at the Shpachhad estate. While minor amounts of alcohol were involved, both vnou found it incredibly easy to Connect with one another with little encouragement once Orasamier confronted him. Compatibility is an almost impossible thing to fake with vnou.

Orasamier’s family didn’t care too much about the Connection – they handled it in the same way Drahinuaw tends to. Rodeuskiss was informed, discreetly, and made aware what would happen if he compromised Orasamier or the family’s identity. While Rodeuskiss had been on an ambitious climb of the ranks on his own, it would be his Connection to Orasamier that would eventually elevate him to running the Shpachhad.

For the entirety of Orasamier and Rodeuskiss’ relationship and Connection, no one has known. Neither are officially married nor are any names attached to them via registration. Most assume that Rodeuskiss has a Bya tucked away somewhere since vnou of his age simply do not not have a Connection and since he is Shpachhad, it’s believed it is for safety reasons. Orasamier is nearing the age many expect him to make a Connection, so he still gets date requests and offers.

Relationship

Though Orasamier has calmed somewhat as he’s grown up, he still has a lot of autonomy as a Shni, or rogue, for the Drahinuaw family. He works under a Shpatya, who works with Rodeuskiss, so he is technically a subordinate of the Shpachhad – but only strictly speaking in rank. Because Orasamier is a Dya of the Drahinuaw line and Rodeuskiss is generally considered a common vnou, or Fa at best, Orasamier still has noble blood privileges. Since the Drahinuaw name is so secretive, these privileges are frequently behind the scenes or under the table benefits. He still works for the family, but he has some say as to what jobs he wants to take or doesn’t want to do. He could live anywhere he wanted or assume any identity he wanted, within reason, and he’s chosen to live in the Shpachhad estate to remain close to Rodeuskiss.

Though Connected, and it is something that can never be broken, Orasamier is a jealous and possessive Bya. Their relationship has forever been a secret which frequently causes him to lash out in petty ways, when he can get away with it. These are usually borderline childish acts to get additional attention and he will frequently go out of his way to make other vnou he deems too close to Rodeuskiss miserable. Given his exceptional sneak-thief skills, his methods tend to be more maddening and annoying than they are actually dangerous but he finds satisfaction in these acts of punishment.
