Rin's Forge

It is said that in the elder ages of Vithrin, magic was abundant and many sought to progress their magical abilities further through the creation of objects or items that would enhance their power. Among these scholars, sorcerers, and wizards was a being named Rin. Much about Rin is unknown save for some general details and some descriptions of his creations. The most famous of his creations are the Stones of Rin, powerful artifacts that can be used to seal away powerful magic sources and harness its power. However, in order to make his creations he first created an enchanted forge to conduct his experiments. The forge allowed him to produce his new magical experiments and also destroy those which did not work as intended. Similarly, any successful creations can also be destroyed by the same means.   The only ones that have been successful in finding any of these alleged artifacts are the three companions; Galren, Nushala, and Delmoth. They themselves are myths and many not believing they actually existed, though if the tales are to be believed, the stones that they found are the legendary stones of Rin and is the reason they became so powerful. Some books that the public consider fantasy state that each of the three stones has one of the three major magic sources sealed within them. These seals last lifetimes, but start to fade around 2000 years after the last time it was sealed. The seals started to fade and have been resealed by the Ildari about every 2000 years thus keeping the cycle of magic continuing. Now that the seals are fading and magic has returned again the question stands that if the stones really do have the sources of magic sealed away, if the forge was used to destroy them would it destroy the sources as well?
