Captain Mascardi Berio (a.k.a. The Slayer of Monsters)
Mascardi Berio was a legendary captain that became the first king of the Trident Islands of the Southern Seas. Mascardi was a retired knight of Lothen who was sent by king Adam Whiteshield to claim the islands for the account of the kingdom of Lothen. Mascardi accepted the mission and sailed for the islands with a crew of 21 members. After a series of expeditions in the islands, Mascardi built a tremendous reputation that spread throughout the kingdoms. Soon, he became a living legend along with his companions as a slayer of monsters and a fearless adventurer that travels to the edges of the world to fight monsters and pirates.
Mascardi Berio was later branded a traitor to Lothen and formed a separate kingdom with the help of mercenaries from various cities. Mascardi's crew members gained a reputation of their own among the most feared pirates of Vitallia. After his death, Mascardio's name was meant to echo through eternity as a fearless seafarer and the first true king of the Southern Seas.
