Phenomena of Ghost

The Phenomena of Ghost is a strange one to be sure.

Manifestation

Upon the death of the sentient races there is a chance for the memory of the indivdual to be wrapped up in the magical outburst causing a sort of footprint of their memories to be left behind. A strong magical field forms around the set of memories and projects a translucent visage of the individual. The visage that is projected is highly dependent of an few factors: the person's self-view, the cause of the death, and the amount of magic present in the body upon death.
Because of the variation of these factors there is a large variation in the actions and power of these different spirits. These different types of spirits have been organized into severl distinct groups for easy identification:

The likelihood of this phenomena is linked to those who are more exposed to magic.
Therefore powerful wizards are very likely to become ghosts. See Death of Wizards.

Localization

These visages can only manifest in areas of large magic in the air, therefore it is typical to see them in areas of low populations often in old decrepit buildings, or out in nature away from cities.
