War of Differing Lights

The War of Differing Lights was a war between Teolihullo, The Saurian Theocracy and an alliance formed by Tagizdam, The Western Kingdom, Nberezt, Kingdom in the Mountain, Kovaln, the Kindom of the Eight Anvils and the Senfid Aidarii. It is so called because of the important role of both side's differing religions in the conflict, though they were not the inital cause.
Teolihullo has never been known as a particularly aggressive civilization. It's communication with the peoples of the Solnater region has also been sporadic at best. For these reasons and because of the Solnater people's focus on the Tagizdam Ascendancy Wars, Teolihullo's attack came as a surprise.
The war was begun by Pitzo Mizuan the Sun Scale Paragon that ruled Teolihullo at the time.
As the conflict wages, the leaders of The Black Rift saw an opportunity to push they borders further out into the lizards territory. This was not entirely unprovoked action, as the armies of Teolihullo had ended up raining the outskirts of The Black Rift on multiple occasions. So even as The Black Rift never officially joined the alliance, they where practically fighting on the same side. At the end of the war, The Black Rift was force to yield control of their newly conquered buffer areas. This was frowned upon initially as the cost for the land had been high. The endgame, however, turned out to be quite good as prosperous trade agreements were established between The Black Rift and Teolihullo.
