The Mother Goddess Bera

Bera is one of the main deities worshipped in Solnater, The Great Salt Sea. She is also known as the First Salt, the Mother Goddess and the Queen of Twilight.
In the Solnater region's main religion, Ben Aidarii, she is worshipped as the mother of Aidar, the God of Light. In Ben Aidarii she is secondary to Aidar, albeit in the Nberezt Church only barely. She also remains the primary deity in some small local religions.
Beras other names come from the sacred texts of the Scriptures of Stone. The First Salt comes from her birth as the first particle of salt. The Mother Goddess moniker comes from her having birthed both Aidar and all mortal life. The Queen of Twilight comes from her role as the mediator between light and darkness and as protector of life in the absence of the light of Aidar during nights and in dark places.
