Aidar

The God of Light

Aidar is the main deity worshipped by the peoples of Solnater and Ben Aidarii elsewhere in Visten. His believers also call him The Lord of Light, The Son of the First Salt and The Father of Us All.
According to the myth of The Awakening of Bera and Aidar and the Birth of the World found in the Scriptures of Stone, Aidar was nurtured from a piece herself by Bera, the Mother Goddess. The same myth says that Bera herself started as the first particle of salt, hence Aidars additional moniker of Son of the First Salt.
Ben Aidarii believe that all light in the universe originates from Aidar and that he together with Bera protects life from the primal darkness of Surinol. Because of this he is prayed to at least in each of the Daily Prayers of Ben Aidarii and sometimes between them as well.
The faith built around Aidar is led by the Senfid Aidarii, headquartered in the city of Cordein.
