Anti-Magic Field
Creating a zone wherein magic is inoperable, Nullifying the ambient Mystical Field, is defined as a spell, since it can only occur through a monumental exertion of skill, focused intent, and strength of will. No combination of words and gestures can help to achieve this feat, as ordinary magical methods will not serve to cancel their own supernatural medium. And the magician definitely cannot employ intrinsically magic-infused objects, as any charm would be immediately rendered useless, although representative physical items intended to help increase or direct concentration may be utilized, such as water, candles, bells or drums, crystals, herbs, smoke, etc.
Effect
The primary result of Magic Nullifying is to establish a small perimeter within which only the laws of physics prevail, as though supernatural laws were mere figments of the imagination. Spells and charms already activated before the casting of a Magical Nullification continue to be functional even in that area, but any new mystical efforts engaged in between the initialization and deconstruction of the Null Zone are entirely futile; they do not take effect once the Null Zone is collapsed, but rather disappear as if they have never existed. Obviously, the spell must be disengaged from beyond the invisible barrier, since the caster of the incantation is not immune to its effects if the boundary is crossed.
Side/Secondary Effects
All eldritch entities are excluded from an Anti-Magic Zone, as they would cease to exist within its circumference. Therefore, in extreme situations, a Nullification spell can be used as a shield against an angry djinn or hungry demon, in the hopes that another mage or wizard will come to the rescue before the casting magician's strength gives out. Becoming trapped within a Null Zone exacts a drastic penalty, leeching the magic-worker's energy to the point of exhaustion, leading to a permanent loss of mystical powers, or even death. In the best of circumstances, this is a psychically and physically demanding conjuration, leaving the caster weak and often mentally unfocused.
Manifestation
When the Nullification is originally cast, a "pins and needles" sensation is present throughout the entire field, and any interaction with the perimeter causes a mild shock akin to a static electrical charge. These signs fade rapidly, however, leaving the Anti-Magic Zone active but unmarked.
Source
Although the Anti-Magic spell draws heavily on the energy of the practitioner, that is merely a consequence of directing the manifestation of the Null Zone. The enchantment cannot be performed without the intervention of a being from the spiritual plane, such as a totem animal, a saint, or a bodhisattva; this is because metaphysical power that is non-magical in nature is necessary to handle "Anti-Magic" in the same way that matter cannot coexist with antimatter.
None. The Null Magic spell is worked completely in the mind.
None, other than those ritually employed to contact the spiritual being of one's choice.
