Fume Charmer

The Fume Charmer is a local legend that circulates in the South Plains of Cytal, a myth spread through campfire tales and chatter amongst friends. Originally, the story was about a man that appears in the fog. Using a musical instrument to clear the thickest of fog and guide lost travelers to safety. Overtime the fable has become twisted and altered to suit the needs of the storyteller reciting it. Some choose to turn the story into a dark tale about a creature that stalks prey on stormy nights. Others portray the man as a lost soul who is eternally wondering the fog in the hopes of finding his own way out. Whatever the variation, the tale always depicts the same three things; a mysterious figure in the fog, some form of wind instrument, and the ability to control the thick clouds.

True or False:

While many assume the story of the Fume Charmer is nothing more than a story told amongst friends. There is some who have pointed out evidence suggesting possible origins to the story.   Many people who live in the city of Sianwood firmly believe the story is about a boy named Xabbath Gliscion. Decades ago, this young boy was known throughout the community as strange. He lived in a home with his parents who speacialized in potion brewing. Constantly releasing fumes and toxins onto the streets. Living inside that home must have affected the boy many described Xabbath as in a constant daze. Seemingly oblivious to the world around him except for the clouds in the sky. Watching them any chance he could. Then one day, the family disappeared from the city without a trace. Along with Xabbath.   If you travelled East and asked the village folk closer to the Craters of Crellan, they would suggest a different explanation. Claiming that the story of the fume charmer began at a similar time to the disaster at Eradykll. Which saw the majority of the village succumb to an abomintion known as the Smog Cloud Of Eradykll. The reasoning goes on to say that the fume charmer is a ghost of someone who passed away during the accident. Hunting for the Smog Cloud in the hopes of avenging their village.
