Throughout the land of Kurse, they are all kind of hybrids. Werewolves, sirens, banshees, but the most common by far is the vampire. With nests in nearly every corner of the continent. The standard blood sucking beast succumbs to the blood lust and lives the rest of their immortal lives draining the life from victims. A minority though refuse to drink the blood of hunters, these are referred to as the bloodless clans.

Against Natural Instincts:

Outcasts by their own kind for not following the status quo and monsters in the eyes of humans and hunters. Often isolating themselves from all and staying hidden in the shadows of the forests. Partly to tame the blood lust of humans and partly for their own safety. Enjoying life as best as they can.
Some of the bloodless choose this way of life out of respect for their former lives. Believing that just because they have fallen to bad luck doesn't mean others should suffer. Instead choosing to gain their blood from woodland creatures and small animals. A hard life but one that allows them to think more freely. Others refuse to drink the blood of humans out of fear, with the impression that if they go anywhere near former homes then they will be recognised and hunted down with little to no chance of escape. One particular family do not drink the blood of humans at all, opting to drink the blood of monsters instead in an attempt to gain stronger abilities.

There are those who find themselves corrupted by curses. Transformed into something else, something monstrous. And yet, they still choose to stand by morals. That shows a tremendous amount of will power. Something I wish I had more of in my younger years.

Methods & Locations:

Overtime, there has been many alternatives designed and concocted for these bloodless clans by clever craftsmen and ancient sorcerers. From using plants that generate a similar substance to blood to a very intoxicating drink known as Lust Liqueur, an enchanted spirit that nulls the affects of blood lust temporarily. However the method, the clans will go to great lengths to avoid drinking real blood and controlling the constant blood lust.
The land of Kurse is no stranger to these bloodless clans, with the most well known being the House of Larson. Located somewhere East of the continent. The House of Hartless hiding somewhere in the North West and the House of Bloodslayers who track down monsters on the South borders.
