Billgolly - 8th Province of Fyey-Ahkeer-Byssium
(Introductory Paragraph)
When Vanik first heard he could name his province and capital city himself, the first thing that came to mind was mischief. Forgoing the respectful naming preferences of his older siblings, a practise he considered terribly dull, he chose instead to name his province after a fictional swamp monster he had made up to scare his twin sister Zaia. Throughout their childhood he had often used the character to tease Zaia, to chase her away, have her play the games he wanted or just to make her squeal.
Once, during a small festival in a Vaianoran marshland, Vanik led her to the marshes and showed her some animal tracts and stray feathers claiming it to be the work of the swamp monster. It worked so effectively that she made a huge fuss running through the festival trying to warn people. When that failed and the other children went to play boat games she tried to push the boats into the marsh out of reach, accidentally falling in in the process. Her screams and wails were loud enough to disturb the whole festival and set off the nearby children as well, their cries joining hers. People rushed over, putting the events on hold to come aid them from whatever danger had befallen the children, only to find a ring of screaming children around one especially filthy and panicked little girl. Even decades later Vanik loved teasing her with the tale and named his province Billgolly solely to taunt her some more.
