Letter from a Zeeci governor to the Estarian king

Listen now you muses who inhabit empty castles in Solgrad. What is the wall that passes Dredges never to intrude upon your land? Is it your Lor'Kecht robber-baron whose name does escape me for truly his purpose is not to be a man but a seat? No it could not. Is it your regent lords who march with steel of clay and boots of papyrus? Those men that must surely be lost to trudge so far outside of your neatly drawn borders?
  No.
It is blood keeps the dredge from your borders - a clot in the desert sand. It is the blood of the Zeeci that affords you your swaddles thrice-bare. Shall I speak of names to you so that you value them? Shall I hail the names of their fathers so that you may afford them pity?
What is a father without sons? Our sons are dying on the southern front and offered nothing!
Hear our warning, friend. Remove your heel from our back and march beside us!

A Lorvi noble greeting an Estarian diplomat

Welcome friend! Come inside and please understand my humility. My home, I know, is not as grand as what you know from your Solgrad.
Come, please, and remove your shoes. You must not speak business until you are comfortable. Can my servants provide you with anything before we begin?
I am so gracious to our king. He is wise to have made us friends of you.
I know why you are here. My family has harvested many heart seeds. You want a price, yes?
