Aether

Aether is a material found all throughout Vildrel, but mainly in the desolate, Dredges-filled wastes of the Forgelands.

Appearance

Aether is either purple or blue, depending on its purity. A pure vein of Aether will be a bright, glowing blue color. Even impure purple has a strong, luminous glow. Aether is extremely dense, weighing more than twelve grams per cubic centimeter. If it isn't mixed into another metal alloy, the metalic form of Aether is very brittle.

Use

Aether is invaluable as a magical material, because it is a natural concentration of Essence. Its primary application is in the creation of enchanted arms, armor, and artifacts, with the craftsmanship of an Avenethus Shaper.

Location

Aether is found in surface level veins in dry, desert regions or mountainous rock throughout Vildrel. However, there is an unusually high concentration of Aether in the Forgelands.
