Phytomancy

Phytomancy, or 'Life-Magic', is the practise of creating and manipulating living things, though this doesn't apply to humans, as their souls are so advanced they can only be altered by Animomancy, or 'Mind-Magic'. Animomancy similarly is a destructive offshoot of phytomancy, and the two are equally destructive towards each other. Sensitivity to phytomancy is typically only a trait of The Sen and as such all practicing phytomages are of Sen descent. Phytomancy is particularly useful in healing wounds, to the extent that Phytomage Healers (sometimes referred to as 'light Phytomages) are employed across the known world for their ability to heal many different wounds. However, as phytomagical energy is concentrated specifically in the Forest of Sen, as a Phytomage moves further and further away from the forest their phytomagic abilities dwindle. Phytomagical healing can even extend to metal that has been previously Phytomagically treated, known as Nettlesteel.
