The Sen

The Sen are the people who inhabit the southernmost areas of Northern Vi'Dan, from the trans Vi'Dan mountain range in the south to the city of Sar'To in the north. The Sen, like the other peoples of Northern Vi'Dan speak a dialect of the Great Northern Tongue, in this case the Sen dialect. It's more eloquent than other dialects of the GNT, the most noticable difference being the replacement of the break (') between syllables with the sound 'a'. The Sen have a collective identity surrounding the forest that is contained within their kingdom, though the Sen of the plains see this forest as more of a 'pretty good place' than a 'pillar of our cultural identity'. Being a forest people mean that they are very adept bowmakers, fletchers and archers. With Sen mercenaries requesting a large price for their extremely long range marksmanship.

Culture

Common Myths and Legends

The Sen believe that all lands of Vi'Dan were once covered by a great forest, and it is only because of the destructive arrival of men that this forest has been almost destroyed. They see it, therefore, as their solemn duty to protect and defend the forest and will fight with extreme ferocity if faced with an enemy army potentially entering their sacred woodland.

Major organizations

The Kingdom of Sen is the single unitary state that was founded in order to bring stability and composure to the lands of the Sen, to allow them a greater ability to repel any potential invaders.
