The Kings Executioners
In old Aristanian tradition, none but an executioner was allowed to harm a noble. This being the assumption that only in an execution could someone of such high status be reasonably killed. Until the king created the Kings Executioners, bypassing the law entirely.
The Kings Executioners are the most elite group of warriors in the country, selected out of the top of every branch of the military and plucked right from under the noses of the nobles they will be given reign to lord over. Whichever noble family is that of the current King or Queen has power over the executioners, and can use them as soldiers against said noble family. They are extremely well versed in the law, and are legally allowed to judge someone for a crime, and sentence them to death all within the same breath, making them excellent secret police.
They are headed out of the sacred island in Marignecha, and are often a common sight in the wealthier areas of the city.
