The Alliance of Dandren
Formed after the Night of Blades, Dandren is a country built up out of islands, each with its own distinct culture, but all having the shared goal of continued sovereignty outside of the control of larger states. Due to their establishment coming out of a lower class rebellion they use said rebellion to justify most actions, actions are stated as being for or against the furtherment of the revolution due to it being such a popular buzz word.
The residents of Dandren are all the peoples thrown out of the main continent of Marmesia during the purges of the Moralonian Empire. While the government was originally formed by tieflings in the southernmost island, it spent a few hundred years claiming the other surrounding islands and gifting them to various marginalized groups after exterminating the former populations of said islands, and erasing any former culture they could.
With all but one island since claimed, the government has since began looking inwards, with tiefling politicians seeking to pull back the high levels of sovereignty that each island has been gifted in hopes of now creating a unified state much like the ones they rebelled from oh so long ago.

Structure
The Alliance of Dandren while sounding like a collaboration of multiple states is really a single state with a heavily decentralized government. Each island has it's own government with its own laws and its own system of election if any. Each island has it's "Bright Representative" which is the one chosen via whatever means is decided upon by the individual island's government, such as trial by combat or inheritance, along with their "Dark Representative" a long held practice in which all members of the island that the regional government has allowed to vote (primarily members of high social standing) are brought to a voting hall, and vote from a selection of members before having the memory of who they voted for and who was avaliable to be voted for erased from their minds. The Dark Representative is then sent to Dawncrest to speak on their island's behalf and serve on the Council of Masks, their identity is never revealed to anyone.
