Gerrum
Gerrum were humanoid creatures with mouse-like faces. Gerrum had a biological attunement to Ignifian Magic and excelled at casting explosive spells. Gerrum were extremely self-isolating, disliking interaction with the outside world. Few Gerrum would ever venture out of their capital city, Rindon, and as a result, were rarely seen in Vexum.
War with [PLANE 1 SCHOOL]
The Gerrum's most notable, and only real interaction with Vexum's history was their war with [PLANE 1 SCHOOL]. Upset by the expanding bounds of their neighbor as well as their alignment to Eveya, the Gerrum attacked [PLANE 1 SCHOOL] in [YEAR OF WAR]. Initially, much of the school district was destroyed by the Gerrum's highly potent explosive magic, however, this did not last. Outnumbered and outmatched by the school faculty and surrounding settlement, the Gerrum were almost immediately on the back foot. It is impossible to know for certain, but it is likely the Gerrum would have lost their war regardless of the interference of Illdur. Only two months into the fighting, Illdur came upon Rindon and destroyed the entire city in what became known as [NAME OF EVENT].Eventual Extinction
Following [NAME OF EVENT], the few Gerrum that remained alive scattered across Vexum seeking refuge. While some Gerrum did end up finding homes and settling down, their numbers were stretched far too thin, and in the years that followed, the remainder of their population began to die out. It is believed that the Gerrum officially went extinct in [YEAR], 23 years after [NAME OF EVENT].Basic Information
Biological Traits
Gerrum had small, black eyes. These eyes were not excellent at seeing in daylight, providing light vision worse than that of humans, however, they excelled in seeing in the dark. This excellent night vision was met by an acute sense of smell. Gerrum had long snouts with powerful nostrils that could detect and identify scents often up to a mile away.
While being bipedal beings, when in a sprint Gerrum would get onto all fours for extreme bursts of speed and agility.
Gerrum were covered by a thin layer of fur. This fur would shed in the hot months and grow in the cool months. As a result, Gerrum had very good temperature regulation and were not extremely bothered by their environment. Gerrum would often die this fur with patterns depicting their profession.
