Lupin (Loo - Pin)

The Lupine are a proud and hardy race of wolf-like humanoids, native to the frigid northern regions of Nidira. They are a fiercely independent people, known for their nomadic and tribal way of life. Lupine culture is centered around the concept of the pack, with each tribe forming around a powerful Alpha leader who governs their daily lives and ensures the safety and prosperity of their people. While they may appear fierce and intimidating to outsiders, Lupine are not inherently evil or aggressive. Instead, they are simply another group of Nidiran inhabitants struggling to survive in the harsh and unforgiving northern wilderness. Their culture is one of loyalty and honor, with a strong emphasis on protecting one's own and standing up for what is right.   Physically, Lupine resemble upright, bipedal wolves, with powerful builds and sharp, predatory features. They are incredibly agile and quick, with keen senses of smell and hearing that make them nigh-impossible to surprise or sneak up on. Their sharp teeth make for formidable weapons, and they are known for their ferocity in battle.   Despite their wild appearance and savage reputation, the Lupine are a deeply spiritual people, with a strong connection to the natural world around them. They hold a deep reverence for the spirits of the earth, and believe that all living things are connected in a complex and delicate web of life. Lupine religion places a strong emphasis on respecting the balance of nature, and they are known for their deep knowledge of herbalism and natural remedies. They have a unique naming tradition, where their names are given in a special ceremony when they are old enough to provide for their clan, and their last names reflect the pack they belong to.   As a people, the Lupine are both fiercely independent and deeply loyal, valuing honor, loyalty, and strength above all else. Their society is structured around a complex system of packs and tribes, with each group fiercely guarding its own territory and resources. However, they are not averse to forming alliances or partnerships when it suits their interests, and are known to be powerful and stalwart allies to those who earn their trust and respect.
