Callum Caravet
Callum Caravet
The young second-heir of the Noble House Caravet.
Physical Description
Special abilities
Callum does not possess any apparent talent for magic, though he does not appear to be manaless as he is able to use enchanted tools. It is that lack of magic that lead to him originally being passed over for heir of his House.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Callum is the first born son of the current Head of House Caravet, but was passed over in favor of his younger brother, Nicholas, once his abismal magical ability became apparent.
Dispite losing his position as heir, Callum is not bitter over the decision and chooses to be supportive of Nicholas.
Sadly, this made the tragic death of his brother all the harder for him as he was thrust back into the position of heir-apparent.
Education
Callum is well educated as expected of a scion of House Cravet. Growing up, he was studied under private tutors and is currently on track to gain acceptance to the prestigious Sellen Academy.
Mental Trauma
Callum took the death of his brother quite hard, souring his reinstatement as Caravet heir.
Not helping matters is the ailing health of his father as Callum is not only helplessly waiting to lose his father as well, but also keenly aware of the accelerating deadline for him needing to prove himself a viable heir despite lacking magic.
Intellectual Characteristics
Callum demonstrates good social and business skills for a man as young as himself. He often uses his connections and leverage as a noble to help better invest in ventures.
Morality & Philosophy
Callum was raised in the belief that the nobility and citivenry exist in a simbiotic relationship with one needing the other. As such, Callum does not look down on the peasant classes and is perfectly willing to invest in institutions that directly benefit them more than him in the confidence of returns that come down the line.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Callum seeks to establish himself as a worthy heir of his House despite lacking any real magical ability. To make up for that disadvantage, he seeks to use his social and business skills to prove himself as an asset for his family.
