Hertasi

Appearence

Small, upright lizards, they were created by Whyril Duskglimmer before the War of the Mad to be assistants. In shape and size, they look mostly like komodo dragons with heavy muscles and deft reflexes. Rather than front paws they have dexterous claws.

Average Characteriscs

• Age: Life Span roughly 100 years
• Size: Most hertasi are between 2 and 3-1/2ft tall, but quite compact. The average hertasi weighs between 160 - 200lbs.
• Language: Elvish(Tayledras), mindspeak

Locations

They live in the Troraine Timberland with the Tayledras .

History

In the evacuation prior to the Cataclysm, Whyril entrusted all of his created races to the Elf, Kaled’a’in believing that they would best be cared for by the elves. When the elves split over the use of magic, another council, this one only of the created races was called. Deciding in the end that they would all be of most use to the Tayledras / most able to live their own lives, they chose to stay and join the Hawkbrothers in thier dispora.

For the hertasi in particular it was important to go with the Tayledras. As reptiles, they would need magical heating during the winters or many of the hertasi would be forced into torporitude and quite possibly die.
