Gruumsh

The Ruiner

Wherever there is chaos and ruin, there is Gruumsh. He is the Ruiner, who slaughters, pillages, and burns the weak for his own selfish amusement and drives his followers to do the same. Where other gods like Bane will let their victims live as their slaves and subjects, Gruumsh has no such desire. He teaches his followers to massacre their enemies to the last man, take whatever they want, and burn everything else.
When he isn't represented by crude images of his eye painted in blood, Gruumsh is depicted as a muscular mountain of an orc clad in furs and bones. His right eye is gone, leaving a black, empty socket that still drips blood from when Corellon shot him.
Gruumsh is the father of the orcs, who he created from goblinoids that he captured from Bane's armies. Not all orcs follow him; the plains orcs turned their backs on him to follow Kord long ago, and others have since joined them. But Gruumsh's worship is still prominent among more traditionalist mountain orc tribes, as well as ogres, ogrillons, trolls, gnolls, and bandits.

Gruumsh is the embodiment of violence for the sake of violence. He's a god of warfare, slaughter, and plunder.
