Tamari Ra-Al'Ghizza (Tah-Mar-Ee Rah-Al-Ghee-Zah)

Ra Tamari Al'Ghizza (a.k.a. 'The Sea Devil')

Tamari is one of the reigning Ra that rules over The Twins, a massive maritime city found at the center of the The Pinching Gulf. She is renown for her physical prowess and brutal tendencies as a warrior, and is also known for foregoing conventional weapons in favor of using small metallic fixtures to her fingers, further accentuating her sharp claws.

Physical Description

Body Features

Tamari is a towering woman that combines a lean frame with toned musculature. She's notably imposing due to her feral features; such as her hands ending with blackened claws, and her feet ending with talon-tipped toes. Tamari's eyes are a bright red; one of the common colours found amidst the predatory subsects of Dekarti people.   Tamari possesses a thick, bushy tail; similar to a canid's. Surmounting her head are ears that are long and jackal like.

Special abilities

Tamari's keen senses are incredibly sensitive; to the point that she's reportedly able to 'taste' scents on her tongue. This talent also allows her to track and find anything she has her eyes set on with ease. Asides from that; Tamari is incredibly agile for how large she is, leaving her to be a ferocious and feared warrior. Fitting, for anyone serving as a Ra of Dekarth.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Tamari and her sister, Tamar, were twins that were born and raised in different cities. Tamari was born closer towards the Golgelen, where she became an exceptional huntress that helped lead the scouting parties throughout the perilous wilds. Whilst Tamari was a scout, Tamar, her sister, was separated from the family to become a priestess within the much more prestigious city of Odunzlar.   Tamari's sister rose to power early in their childhood when the Ra of Odunzlar passed, leading the council to deem the priestess of the temple to become the Ra of the city. While this further drove a wedge between the twin's relationship, it drove Tamari to continue striving to show her talents; and it paid off. Her prowess outshone her peers and she became a reliable warrior that they could rely on through the countless scouting parties that stepped through the perilous jungle.   In time; an offer was made. Tamari would move from Ihlzlar and live with her sister as not just her right hand, but a seafarer that'd work to promote the maritime potential of the city. Tamari took the offer, and from there, she and Tamar began to create a powerful navy with the intention of venturing off into lands that the Dekarti had not often seen outside of their homeland. Tamari, always being an adventurous spirit, was elated to expand out to the sea. Battle had always been something that Tamari was incredibly fond of, having only strengthened that interest through the countless tales that her much more well-read sister had told her of.   In hopes of establishing herself and proving herself a new warrior, Tamari created a naval unit dedicated to raiding the seaside of the Smiling Isles; strategically targeting the the rebel-ran cities to pillage and plunder. Tamari's reign of piracy lead to a reign of reverence and notoriety that inevitably lead towards the council deeming her worthy enough to seat herself as a Ra within the council; with her being appointed over Ihlzlar after its Ra had passed of unknown circumstances.   In order to continue working alongside her sister and further cement herself as a Ra, she and her sister worked to connect the two cities into one, building a central city-scape within a raised karst at the center of the gulf, whilst weaving in repurposed galleons and freight ships to serve as the new homes for the people of the Twins; the new, united city of Ihlzlar and Odunzlar.

Education

Tamari's education is often considered 'lower' than the usual politician; she's unlike her sister, who is often trusted to handle diplomatic relations and political issues. Tamari, on the other hand, has a pronounced dislike and lack of patience for books and reading. Despite that, like most Ra, she carries enough education to stand among the council and make political decisions.

Employment

Scout

Tamari was among the many scouts sent to scope out the choked-out jungle of the Golgelen; during this time, she was primarily tasked with creating safe routes of travel between Ihlzlar and the rest of the continent. The scouting party was also tasked with hunting the megafauna dwelling within the woods, bringing back their catches to the city. Tamari was known for being a particularly fantastic scout due to her keen sense of smell, bordering to the point that she can 'taste' and track down the scents she picks up

Piracy

After her stint as a scout, Tamari's eyes eventually turned towards the seas rather than the vast jungle. Eager to explore what lied outside of her country's borders, she became a renown general of a naval unit established by her city, where she lead raids across the coast of the Sunward Isles. Tamari was known for being a ruthless raider; a ruthless warrior feared by both ally and enemy alike. This notoriety lead to her ascension into becoming the Ra of Ihlzlar.
