War of the Red Desert

The Golden Avatar, Hephaestus, Champion of Shrea, desires above all else dominion over Ukum-Aru. His armies descend from the Black Peaks, from the Pearlescent Spire. They have conquered Almunkad, occupying the opulent city as the main organ of their military activity in the desert. From the Southeast, Nevri’s Waste encroaches, propelled by the magic of his liches and led by the ever-elusive Phantasmal Ziggurat. These two divine (rather, an upstart archmage and this divine) cast their armies forth into the sands. From the North, the Granite Fist, empire of the Valley of Mounds, bolster their dwarven fortresses against invasion, carefully planning their moves against these invading adversaries. Between all three of them are the disparate tribes and enclaves of free people who put up resistance to these empires at all costs.
