The Navigator's Trial
As a demonstration of the skills they developed during their first two years, Auran are tasked with successfully navigating through the Celestial Tempest to a tranquil island that sits in its eye, where a holy mark is painted on their foreheads. They must then navigate out of the tempest without tarnishing the mark, a feat that requires great dexterity and exquisite intuition. If they prove successful, they are welcomed with open arms into society. Those who fail are clipped, earthbound for eternity.Ideals
