Treeholm
With it's name literally meaning "tree-home", Treeholm is the center of Avidian civilization in A'orn.
Demographics
While Avids as a whole are predominantly farmers and merchants, the professions of those living in Treeholm are vastly more diverse and exotic. Artists, dancers, politicians, builders, aerial acrobats, and weavers all make their home here.
Industry & Trade
Inhabitants of Treeholm are generally more concerned with currency than Avids as a whole. One can trace the origins of the Silver leaf back to the first inhabitants of Treeholm.
Architecture
Treeholm centers around a massive tree that sprouts from the center of the A'ornian parliament building. Many more trees sprout from different areas around the city, occasionally linked with bridges.
Each tree is filled to the top with businesses and residences inside and out; the most expensive real estate is always at the top, as they always have the best views and advertising space. The forest floor is sometimes used for low-income housing or warehouses, but mostly the builders will try to make their wood constructions as tall as possible so they can sell for more. Often the first few stories will be little more than stilts and scaffolding so the builders can concentrate their work on the part of the building someone will actually want to buy.
Because of this, some high-class Treholmians may live their entire lives in the city without ever touching the ground.
