Silver leaves are a form of currency that originated in the The A'ornian Republic and found it's way into the everyday lives of the citizens of the Conflux through years of commerce. Today, it's an almost universal currency that runs throughout Veron.

Manufacturing process

The most important part of a silver leaf is the thin layer of silver that gives it it's value. Silver is useful in many ways across cultures, and is the largest contributor to the success of the currency as a whole. The silver layer of each leaf is extremely thin; easy enough to accidentally break while it jostles around in a wallet or backpack; as a solution, the earliest silver leaves were encased in thin paper, strong enough to protect the contents, but thin enough to see the precious silver inside. Later versions of the silver leaf have used a clear plastic coating instead, making each leaf easier to inspect and harder to damage. To ensure that each package contains the exact same amount of silver and to guard against counterfeiting, the silver inside each is molded into the shape of a leaf of exact proportions with very specific markings that become more complex with each iteration. Then the leaf is packaged and spent into circulation.
