The A'ornian Republic
The vast majority of Avidians are citizens of this aincent republic, situated on the continent of A'orn, which, being translated from Avid, means 'rock' or 'earth'.
Military
The republic has very little military forces in the traditional sense, rather the common citizens of the republic are expected to form a militia when called upon to defend their homeland. Since the republic's agreement with the Conflux, however, there has been no need for such a call to take place.
Foreign Relations
The A'ornian Republic has good relations with the Conflux, having come to a long-standing agreement long ago which involves the republic shipping loads of food and textiles to many different Conflux colonies in exchange for military protection and some modern technologies such as metalwork and medecine.
Agriculture & Industry
The A'ornian republic is mainly fueled by copious amounts of agriculture. Corn is a favorite crop of the Avids , but they also grow many Rodentian favorites such as summer squash, scarlet radishes and lettuce. Cotton is also a staple of the avid economy, both for Homeland use and for export to other lands.
