The nation of Alvaria and the Veridian Empire fought a lengthy war after relations worsened to the point of armed conflict.
As a result of a number of factors, such as the High King's assassination, a failed diplomatic meeting, espionage, and plans to annex the Veridian Empire, the forces of the Veridian nation and the Alvarian Dominion met in a large scale conflict between the sea that seperates them. Though much combat took place over the sea, the Veridian Empire currently occupies some of the smaller Alvarian islands.
