Gildengard
Known as the golden kingdom, Gildengard is the richest of all the Northern Kingdoms.
Culture
Magic is viewed as strange, unnatural, and dangerous by most of the world and even more so within Gildengard. The Gildgardains have a storied history with the mages of the Ludum Praecontatio, between disputes over territory, and rogue wizards causing trouble within the kingdoms borders. Magic is outlawed within Gildengard and it's citizens are quick to raise a pitchfork against any who practice it.
Assets
Gildengard is the wealthiest among the northern kingdoms. They have a vast supply of grain thanks to the fertile soil of Bloomingfield. They use this grain to supply all of the Northern Kingdoms.
Also thanks to a trade agreement with Brottenheim Gildengard imports a vast amount of precious metal which they use to mint the official currency of the Northern Kingdoms.
History
The humans who traveled west across northern Aetrus eventually came to settle in the blooming fields. They favored the fertile soils found in this region and it was not long before a new kingdom was born.
Since the kingdom's beginning it has been in opposition to the Ludum Praecontatio. From border disputes to all out war, the only thing that was able to put a stop to the fighting was the Northern Kingdom Accords.

Military
Gildengard's military functions as a glorified mercenary company. It is comprised of highly trained soldiers who are well paid by the kingdom. Should their services be needed, Gildengard is happy to lend them out to allied kingdoms as long as the price is right.
They employ a special division of elite warriors known as the Ashen Guard, who are specially trained to combat spell casters.

Gildengard is allied with the rest of the Northern Kingdoms, including the Ludum Praecontatio whom they keep a close eye on.
Agriculture & Industry
The rich fertile lands owned by the kingdom allow it to be an agricultural super power. They supply a vast amount of crops and free range livestock to the rest of the Northern Kingdoms.
Infrastructure
Using their vast wealth the kingdom has built a network of roads throughout it's territory. Every village throughout the kingdom has access to a road, allowing fast and easy transport of goods.
