Lord Garth is a former military man who rose through the ranks during the War of Oxerley Vale—following the war he served as Commandant of the Vert Cavaliers until his promotion to Lord of Hawksend.
From Wymar's stories, Thurdon was aware of Garth's reputation as a brutal commander.
The party encounter Lord Garth in The Peddler's Rest at Merchant's Crossing. While searching for information about the mysterious pair who had cursed the "Sword Merchant", Garth stated that he may have encountered the two men. However, that information would have a price.
Garth asked the party to deal with a problem. The town that had been granted to him alongside his title had been overrun with monsters, Garth couldn't afford to spare the men he had, he asked that the party clear out the town of the infestation and he would provide the information they wanted, alongside 15 gold each for their trouble.
After returning from Hawksend, the party received their reward from Lord Garth, he also provided some information on a suspicious pair of individuals he encountered at the Rusty Plough on the outskirts of Draguilforte, he directed the party to speak with the innkeeper for more information.
