Araluna Pearl

The Past Tidings...

After Icaryst

The Cult of Four had been dealt with, their last remnants swept away. There was little more to go on, though Benoit had made clear he would be going his own way, tracking down the Deacon to investigate the man. With Jakob dead, it left the group little reason to keep together over the next two months.   It was Solenne who helped Araluna find work, using her many and varied connections to arrange jobs that were suitable and accepted by the fae. From Icaryst to Linde and finally Radoon, it was fate that brought her back into the orbit of old 'friends'... specifically that of the Dumont brothers. Their ride that had been advertised in Icaryst was now here - better and greater, if the posters were to be believed! - as part of the World Expo, the Terrifying tale of Lord Wylde. Who was she to pass up the chance to see what these two had been up to?

Objects of Note

Fae of the Veil Heirloom

It was the one parting gift from her mother when Araluna left to set out on her own path. Regardless of what had transpired, their differences, it was the one thing she made certain she took with her. A family heirloom, passed from mother to one of her daughters, she had felt it was important for her to have.   The six sided cube has silver engravings that depict symbols of the fae, and seems to always have the faintest of blue glows to it, though it is easily muffled by being underneath clothing. It might just be her imagination, the hope of family, or old memories, but when she reaches out to her hedge magic, or is gliding along the buildings? She'd swear it had a touch of warmth to it.   One side has come to be even more filigreed, the blue glow a touch brighter on its side. When worn, it has gifted Araluna with an ability to connect better with fellow Fae, giving a +1 asset to social interactions with the fae.

Coren and the Fae

One side effect of the heirloom has been visions... specifically voices, and occassionally the appearance of a fae named Coren. While what he talks about, and reveals, seems to be very old indeed, he does respond to questions asked. Still, it seems less a communication device and more a storage of knowledge, a sort of collective consciousness of the Fae's history, though she hasn't yet figured out how to tap into that wealth of information.
