Vega

A port city owned by the Caliphars of New Azai and the only city owned by the Caliphars in the Sand Sea where gambling and prostitution is legal among the common man. The varying casino owners are heavily taxed by the Caliphars making Vega a great source of wealth for them. Vega is the first cityon the south side of the Sand Sea and east of the mountains separating the Sand Sea from the rest of Anglonia.

Demographics

Vega is a melting pot, humans, elves, gnomes, dwarves, orcs and hobgoblins all call this city home. Any who wish to try there luck and earn a fortune come here. Many become indebted by the wealthy families here and become indentured servants.

Government

Vega is led by a son of the High Caliphar of New Azai, generally this son is not in line to becoming a Caliphar himself.

Defences

The city has a two tiered wall topped with heavy scorpions and a handful of bombards, the city is also divided into districts, each with its own walls and gates.

Industry & Trade

Casinos are the primary source of income in Vega. Although there is not a tradesman that cannot be found in Vega, all of which are needed for the operation of such a large city. Vega purchases most of the food it feeds it's people from plantations nearby.

Architecture

The majority of the buildings within Vega are made of sandstone or adobe. Silk banners and pavilion dot the cities streets.
