The Order of the Dusk
An organization of clergy within the Order of the Rising Sun that wish to aid in the Blood War between the Devils of the Nine Hells and the Demons of the Abyss. They help indirectly by doing what they can to lead some souls astray. Those who will not bask in the Light of Luxoth can be sent to the Fires of the Nine to fight the war against the Demons. Members of this organization are members secretly. The main leadership of the Order of the Rising Sun do not condone these people publicly. Some members of the Order of the Dusk are even known to ritually sacrifice those they deem evil, sending the souls to hell regardless of the souls original destination.
Mythology & Lore
Early in the History of Vedunia when the first layers of the Abyss first began to form a Luxoth and a powerful mortal named Lucious made a deal. Lucious was ascended to Godhood and given great power, he was given any unclaimed souls to use as soldiers to fight of the evils of the Abyss. Lucious formed these unclaimed souls into Legions of Devils which he used to counqer the top nine layers of the Abyss. These layers became known as the Nine Hells. To this day Lucious takes unclaimed souls and his Devils create contracts with mortals to acquire more souls to feed the war machine fighting the Demons of the Abyss.
Ethics
Followers of Luxoth are off limits when it comes to those sacrified to the Nine. Generally speaking foreign prisoners of war and criminals are the most commonly sacrifieced. No one the Order of the Rising Sun considers a "good" person would be sacrificed.
Political Influence & Intrigue
The clergy within this group are generally high ranking and have the ears of the nobles in charge of their respective locations. Often an enemy of the high lord that isn't a devout follower of Luxoth or one of the other primary dieties within Anglonia Proper will disappear from their cell in the night. In reality having been sacrificed by the Order of the Dusk.
