One of the most veteran Witch Hunter Captains, Barrick Manse is a formidable opponent. Traveling Anglonia and the surrounding areas stamping out demonic chaos wherever he can. Barrick is one of the only people to have traveled into the Abyss and lived to tell the tale. He did not return without scars.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
A powerful human specimen, any major injuries he has sustained over his term as a Witch Hunter has been fixed through augmentation by magical items.
Body Features
Half of his body has been badly burned while in the Abyss, he no longer grows hair.
Facial Features
The right side of his face is badly burned and his right eye is permanently burned shut.
Identifying Characteristics
All the fingers on his left hand, except his thumb and forefinger, have been cut cut off at the first or second knuckle.
Special abilities
The gem that is enchanted to allow Barrick to see also gives him true sight.
Apparel & Accessories
A silver studded leather overcoat with metal plates sown internally is his common garb. He also generally wears a cuirass underneath his overcoat. He has had a leather hat made special to include a leather cover for half of his face, covering the majority of his burns. A red gem is embedded into the leather where his eye would be that has been enchanted to allow him to see. The leather gloves he wears are also lined in metal plates along with special silver plated knuckles designed to be used in hand to hand combat.

Personal history
As a boy Barrick grew up in the lands that were to become Redalia. At an early age his families homestead was attacked during a demonic incursion. Barrick witnessed the slaughter of his family before escaping into the woods. In the early days of the Redalian Empire Barrick enlisted into the Witch Hunters, where he finally got to fight back against the Demons. As a veteran Witch Hunter Barrick joined the First Abyssal Crusade with the ten thousand strong force of Witch Hunters. Barrick became one of great renown after being one of the seven survivors of the the First Abyssal Crusade. He continued to fight demons on behalf of the Redalian Empire. Traveling as far as the Prima Islands in an attempt to stem the tide of demons into the Material Realm wherever they are present.

Mental Trauma
Barrick has a great hate for demons, having witnessed his families slaughter at a young age. Barrick has terrible nightmares most nights, either seeing his family killed again or seeing his fellow men that died by his side while in the Abyss.
Morality & Philosophy
Barrick is somewhat of a progressive in the Witch Hunter world. His hate is for demons and he takes pleasure from ending there vile existence. He is not one to take pleasure in the suffering of his fellow man and does not generally show ill will toward the other sentient races. He does believe that humanity is superior but also believes all races can live on the material plane in harmony with humanity as the worlds leader.
