Golemancer

While the mages of Gnomandy have perfected the art of creating simple one tasked automaton, (and also the accidental creation of the Gears), the construction of an actual fully functional Goleman is still largely experimental. The difficulties arise in that while magic can be made to make living creates more Intelligent or powerful, the same technique has proven to be far more difficult in none living things created by mortals. For players who choose this specialization, they are among the rare few that have found a way to not only create an automaton under their command but also one that can understand and in act complex commands. Class: Mage Requirement: Dexterity (Crafting), Intelligence (Alchemy), and a 3 to Intelligence. You learn to craft a golem from clay. You may come across manuals or masters who can teach you to use other materials to augment your golem and make it more powerful. If your golem is destroyed, you can make a new one with a weeks’ worth of time spent crafting. To create a Golem, use the Warrior’s class to level up your Golem to one level below yourself. Golems do not gain specialization classes, instead choose a New Talent, or a degree in one they already possess. Golem cannot communicate verbally and are thus disqualified from any Talent that requires verbal communication. They still may have a Communication Score, however, for determining how well they can “speak” through other means. Your Golems Accuracy, Strength, and Constitution stats increase an amount equal to half its master's Intelligence score rounded down. Additionally, your golem has extra health equal to half of its master’s health. Core Crystals: When you create a Golem, you imprint a little of yourself on them, in order to teach them commands and be able to communicate to them. If, however, the Golem dies, these settings are lost and must be reprogramed into the Golem, essentially forcing the mage to start all over. One way to avoid this is to acquire a Core Crystal, these crystals can contain the essence of a Golem, including their memories, their trained skills, and so on. You can use this Crystal to reconstruct a Golem that is destroyed, (as long as the crystal was not destroyed) or to upgrade the Golem and place it in a better body. These Crystals are very rare, as they are only found in a mine within the Gnormandy kingdom. As such they are very expensive, costing 1000 gold to acquire. The Golemancer must then spend 24 hours in meditation with the Core Crystal. Once this is done though, you need only to reconstruct a Golem’s body to bring it back to full strength. Appearance: The Golem can be the appearance of any Medium or smaller creature the mage chooses, though the same bodily limitations of the original creatures do apply, (such as a tiger cannot pick things up with its paws.) Novice: Your golem acts on your turn and follows your commands. Your golem has a minor action it can use. You must use your minor action to mentally command it to attack, or otherwise do any major actions. Pick two of the following traits to give your golem. Focus: Strength (Might) +2 Damage +15 Health +1 Defense Journeyman: Your golem gains the focus Accuracy (Brawling). You can also craft a metal Golem, using any non-magical metal you are familiar with. Pick one of the following traits to give your golem. +2 Armor +1 Attack Focus: Strength (Intimidation) +10 Health Master: Your golem has its own major action. While your golem is within 10ft of you it will shield you, granting you +2 armor You can also craft a magical Golem, using any magical material you are familiar with. Attacks made by this type of Golem are considered magical. Pick two of the following traits to give your golem. + 2 Armor + 2 Damage + 15 Health + 2 Attack
