Exogens
In the cryptic chronicles of the inception of [[Helioraspace]], the Exogens were, and always were, a malevolent and malignant force. Existing without time, and being beyond the constraints of cause and effect, these eldritch entities embody a sinister essence that threatens the very nature of existence. The Exogens, often whispered of as anti-gods, stood as adversaries to the [[VEA/VEA.00-09 System/VEA.08 Uncategorised/VEA.08.01 Pantheons/Powers that Be]]. Before the Powers that Be brought time to the realm, they existed as envoys of chaos within the abyssal void. Their origins (if their nature even permits such a concept to apply to them), are shrouded in obscurity, veiling their true nature in mystery. Unbound by the chains of causality, the Exogens transcend mortal comprehension, their existence defying the laws that govern reality.
As the cosmic tapestry of Helioraspace began to form, the Exogens cast their baleful gaze upon the burgeoning universe. Recognising the dire threat they posed, the Powers that Be took action. Their collective might birthed a crystalline sphere, a divine ward that stood as an impregnable bastion against the encroaching influence of the Exogens. This monumental feat became a testament to the resolve to the ability for the Powers that Be to uphold the cosmos' equilibrium, and instilled them as the dominant higher lifeforms in the realm, banishing the Exogens to an uninfluential existence.
With the divine ward in place, the Exogens' reach was thwarted, however, their presence continues to echo throughout the fabric of Helioraspace, serving as a testament to the unfathomable forces that dwell beyond the boundaries of conventional understanding. Few scholars, seekers of cosmic truth, and inquisitive minds delve into annals of time, contemplating the enigma that is the Exogens. The divine ward endures as a symbol of vigilance, a cosmic boundary that ensures the Exogens' maleficence remains contained.
