Jake Lawrence takes Janikk's Tsekeht in preparation for his role as Navarch of Mordena Public Relations.
Newly promoted Navarch Jake Lawrence selects Yaevin Felix as his personal bodyguard, nicknaming him Scout. Scout takes the Oath to Jake, and is promoted to Lieutenant.
Grand Navarch Shane Lawrence splits Mordena Public Relations into its own department, naming his son Jake Lawrence as Navarch.
Libaran President Bosa negotiates a defense contract w the Mordena.
While talking on their shared public balcony on Janikk, Scout realizes he has fallen in love with the Navarch.
Jake confronts Scout on his aloofness and discovers the katanoj's romantic interest.
