Strength Training

By properly training, one should expect their strength to physically increase. With improved strength to the grip, wrists, forearms, biceps, and shoulder comes increased accuracy when firing a weighted bow. This is the overall goal of strength training: to use heavier draw-weighted bows for better force, speed, and accuracy of the arrow that is being fired. Always remember to commit at least 5-10 minutes for a warm-up period so as to reduce the strain on one's muscles.

Vasanese

The ancient peoples of the Dominion of Vasan spoke a different language than ones commonly found in the modern era. It is thought to have had roots in archaic draconic script, but that has yet to be proven. Most traces of this language died along with the Aetherwens that housed the great libraries of the Dominion. There is only one known remaining native speaker: Venefic Sigilis. The Magus Dragon that presides over Eo' Wissae has, as of the current date, refused to translate remaining texts that have been excavated and recovered. It believes that the language used to mock the divine should not be public knowledge, and as such leaves only its closest pupils to decypher them under a watchful gaze.

History

The Vasani were not the hegemons of Vasara by sitting by idly waiting for things to come to them. Their standing military was among the best of the ancient world. They achieved this by having extremely high standards of training for both their martial forces and their arcane ones. Manuals such as these were part of the typical training regimen that the rank and file martial soldiers could expect to receive. Every man was trained in both melee and ranged combat, and these particular manuals were once widely regarded as some of the best to teach novices the fundamentals of archery.

Significance

This manual was one of the first Vasani texts ever recovered, and has since been instrumental in decyphering the long-dead language.
