Katisan

Katisan, also referred to as "The Jaw", is a deity in the Order Pantheon, created by the Radiant One. Katisan is associated with war, ambition, and strength, and it is believed that he created the necrites.

Myth

Katisan was one of the gods tasked by the Radiant One to breathe life into the world of Alvandis, and so he created the first necrites from his own blood. He gave them ambition: a necrite is not content to just serve their nation, they will always seek to improve their own lot. Katisan also granted the necrites strength to defend themselves, for out of all gods of Order, Katisan is the greatest warrior.

After the Devouring, Katisan chose one necrite to be his champion, and gave him the Jaws of Katisan, a pair of swords that would allow him to unite the selfish necrite tribes into an empire. Over thousands of years, the Detrinian Empire grew under the watchful guidance of Katisan from scattered tribes into a great nation.

When the Wurm's avatar appeared on Varzzen, Katisan had to join his siblings in the fight to defend Alvandis, leaving his people behind. Sadly, one of the gods, Zaqātu, was killed in the battle. Despite Katisan's ability, he couldn't save the scion god. Thus, he withdrew to his realm, feeling ashamed and sorrowful. Some clergymen speculate that this is why Katisan remains in his realm to this day.
