Festival of Sol
According to an old story commonly retold at festivals.
When the world was in the process of creation the younger Sun would get into conflicts with Light over what kind of atmosphere there should be. Sun wanted the world to be a bright, warm, energetic place where as Light would clearly state it should be cool, calm, and quiet. This conflict continues perpetually giving rise to the seasons and the energy cycle the world needs to continue functioning properly.Many enjoy celebrating the pivotal points in the confict marking the beginnings of each season. The Festival of Sol in particular is used to mark the start of spring and the growing season, at which point farmers will begin tending the fields. This celebration is one of two Ignisore will come out to participate in due to a preference of warm environments. As a species, they view Sun as their creator and will not miss an opportunity to give thanks for their existence.
Components and tools
Large bonfires are set to welcome in the warmth and longer days ahead. Many of the foods cooked over them tend to be on the hot and spicy side. It's believed by throwing a piece of a delicious meal or a shot of drink into the flames will earn favor with Sun. Hopes are that the participating individual's warm seasons will by blessed by sunny days.
Small temporary stalls provide games with treats, fireworks, and sparklers as prizes. Basic versions of these items can also be traded for or purchased.
Observance
Takes place during the spring equinox as an acknowledgement that Sun is now stronger then Light. Festivities can last three to ten days depending on the location.
