Wood Elf

Within the forests of Staro Lesa, there lay ancient trees, larger than any others in the world. Their tops seem to rest in the sky, and their trunks are endlessly wide. The air is rich and clean, the sunlight dappling the ground. It is here that the great Lesní Pozor clan resides, the Watchers of the Forest. Their homes are sung from the trees themselves, many outsiders mistaking them for oddly shaped trees instead of the houses of the wood elves. The trees there always bear great amounts of fruit, and the animals are plentiful and healthy. Songs of healing, of life, of death, and of balance float through the air, imbuing everything with a sense of peace and purpose. The elves there take great pride in their task of keeping the balance of nature, ensuring the cycle of life and death never ceases or pauses. To come to them in peace and wonder is to witness the beauty of nature. To come to them with malice and destruction is to witness the devastation nature can wrought. Beware the fury of nature, and bask in its warm love.

Darkvision: Accustomed to the twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Senses: You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
Leifel Ancestry: You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put you to sleep.
Trance: Elves don't need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
Subrace: Ancient divides among the elven people resulted in three main subraces: high elves, wood elves, and dark elves. Choose one of these subraces.

High Elves

As a high elf, you have a keen mind and a mastery of at least the basics of magic. They have adapted the continued the tradition of hounding knowledge from their Zoimag ancestors. Many feel as though the other elven races have lost their heritage, turning their backs on the culture they came from. They are a prideful people, and can sometime come off as haughty or reclusive, depending on where the high elf was raised.
